November 2024. ETHRA wrote to all members of the SANT Committee to highlight the fact that there is no scientific or public health basis to extend the recommendation to include vape aerosol. We also ask Committee members to request a proper risk evaluation on the relative risks of safer nicotine products compared to combustible tobacco. See the letter below.

August 2024. ETHRA submitted to Spain’s Draft Law for the modification of Law 28/2005. The Draft Law proposes a range of restrictions on safer nicotine products in order to “prevent the onset of tobacco consumption and related products and the promotion of healthy and smoke-free spaces”. April 2024. ETHRA submitted to Spain’s Draft Royal Decree amending Draft Decree 579/2017. The Draft Royal Decree aims to introduce a vape flavour ban and plain packaging for vaping products.

January 2024. ETHRA submitted to Finland's TRIS notification on the Government's proposal to Parliament for an Act amending the Tobacco Act. The proposal would introduce a number of measures including a flavour ban for nicotine pouches and a reduction on the amount of snus that can be imported.

October 2023. Following a validation workshop ETHRA wrote to Open Evidence to provide them with a summary of the main points we raised during the workshop and we included additional evidence which complements and reinforces the points we raised.
